the thing i like most about shooting sports is facial expression and bb is as good as it gets since there's no helmet and you can get very close to the action. I sit on the floor inches from the baseline....
I'm sturggling this week w/ AF and IQ issues but the action is still fun....BB is w/o a doubt the toughest sport for me except for soccer at night
in case you wonder some of my crops are very wide because I like to see the surrounding player's faces (when I get lucky enough to have them in focus.
camera was the 30d again and the Sigma 30mm 1.4
iso =800-1000, A=f1.8-2.2, SS=1/400-1/500

I agree While great action is nice to capture, those facial expressions make the shot for me. Especially in sports played by younger athletes.
I like what you posted here If you don't mind, I will add a few of my "faces".
Take that!
Can I get a foul call?
In yore face.....literally
