    The second photo is almost posterized. You may get criticized for that but I like it.

    I like them both - shadows, tone, mood. On the second one, it seems her eyes are a little too bright. The posterization is OK, but the whites of her eyes need brought down a bit. Also the slighty lighter area in the lower left corner is distracting. Minor tweaks for otherwise very nice images.

    I love that first shot. Do you have a non-processed version of the second shot? Her expressions along with the color set a wonderful mood in the pictures.

    well, you can't call this non-processed, but not as much as the high contrast bw-

    How did you edit the second one?...it looks...well...I'm not sure what the look is. However, I do like it.

    hey texas-

    probably a soft light blending mode and then some duotoning-

    then went to s/h to finetune that and liked what I saw when I went all the way to the right with the midtone contrast slider-
