I uploaded some photos and rotated them, and then I noticed some had names such as " [MOD EDIT: Removed the filenames.] which bob is my name.... the physical names of the files have only numbers such as "108_108.JPG".

I just uploaded these dam photos last night and how do you rename photo names on smugmug? Is this a problem ONLY i am having?

Also I used "send to smugmug" to upload them.

These are your filenames. They are being used as keywords and / or captions, depending on how you have your gallery options setup.

Go to edit captions & keywords, bulk, and you can edit these.

Gotcha! So I changed the keywords!

But I guess my question is how they got there? Naming convention of the files don't have any letters its just a typical 01_146.jpg I will email the smugmug support but as of now I am ok.

    thanks Andy!

Bob, I am your Support :) no need to post here and email us also.

Those names were IN your file before you uploaded them. They did not get added by SmugMug.

Maybe this is a new virus/worm/etc on your (most-likely) PC? Haven't heard of this one but that doesn't mean anything...

I just re-uploaded the photos as an alternative. I am not quite sure what the problem was but still have a concern as I know the file names were hard coded in sequence and miraculously changed when they were on the web.

    Thanks, Robert
