I'm looking for a Canon Mount 28mm 2.8. It can be an off brand...just needs to have manual aperture and focus.
Thanks in advance.

I happen to own a Sigma 28mmf2.8 FD mount lens.
I have no idea what it's value is.
What is it worth to you?? As I look at it, it is pretty beat up - not on the outside, but with debris, fungus within the elements.
If you are looking for a wide angle to reverse, how about a Canon 17mm f4 FD mount? It looks in much better shape optically. Give me a fair price for the 17mm Canon, and I'll toss in the Sigma 28 for free. How's that for a deal??
I have a Canon 50mm macro for an FD mount also...

I don't have the 28mm but I happen to have a MINT condition Canon FD 24mm 1:2.8. Please email or PM me if you are interested, thanks and Happy New Year!

The Canon 17mm f4 FD mount is a 75mm thread size. It looks pretty good optically.
Let me know if they might be of use.
Corrected - the filter size for the Sigma 28 is indeed 52mm. I have a 52-55mm adapter ring in place on that lens. duh!!

Sigma isn't 52mm thread? doh. I thought it was?

You are correct and I stand here corrected and embarrassed. I apparently screwed in a 52 to 55 mm adapter ring many years ago, and left it in place because the lens cap I am using is a Canon 55mm. So the lens cap is 55mm, but my ASSUMPTION that that was the correct filter size for the Sigma 28mm lens was WRONG!!
Sorry Doc! Kevin is correct!! The accurate size for the Sigma 28f2.8 filter thread is indeed 52mm!!:hide
