BG-ED Grip for 30D

Can any 30D owners help this dgrinner out?

    I don't know about the 30D but If it's anything like the 20D, open the
    battery door and you'll see a tiny release that will allow you to take it
    off the camera--once the grip is installed, you don't need the door--but
    keep it in case you decide to go lightweight.

    One other thing... If you just set the door aside, it will get lost. Canon has thoughtfully provided a place on the battery grip to store the door when the grip is installed.

    If you look on the outside of the portion that goes into the camera, you'll see a little slot. Just slip the door into this slot and install the grip on the camera. That way, you'll always have the door right at hand.
