December 29 2006 - January 1 2007 probably are the greatest days of this holiday season for me. We went to Baguio for the second time this month. To get there, you need to pass 5 provinces: Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan and La Union (small part only). It takes about 7 hours including stopovers. It was so long we had to eat first, so we ate in Pizza Hut.

This was the meal I ordered, it was really good.

This is the expressway. It's about 80 kilometers long. It's called the North Luzon Expressway, NLEX for short.

It was such a long trip we had to stop in Pangasinan in a place called Lisland Rainforest Resort. I didn't like it much there but it was late and it wasn't safe to keep on going because there might be drunkards driving. This is the cabana we stayed in. Cabana 12.

These are the keys to Cabana 12.

This is the sign.

And these are the trees in the middle of the parking lot.

Baguio is located on top of a mountain. It is in Benguet. It is a very mountainous area. Full of mountains and trees. But now it's more modern. There are a lot of hotels, malls, restaurants and people. It is also very cold there, since it is on top of a mountain.

This is Kennon Road. This is one of the paths you can choose to get to Baguio. I think we took it because it is the safest and fastest.

These are some of the views you will see when you use Kennon Road. There is a Lion Head in Kennon Road but we didn't stop anymore because my dad said it is stinky there because people piss there.

When we got there, we ate in a place called Sizzling Plate. They serve all kinds of steak there and it's good too.

This is the place we stayed in. It's called Camp John Hay Manor. It's located inside Camp John Hay. You will find a lot of things to do there. There's restaurants, shopping areas, a place where you can play golf, play paintball and tons of other activities. The day we left, there were a lot of people taking picnics under the big old trees.

This is the view from our room. You can walk there. I love waking up and seeing that.

This is the shopping area I was talking about. It's called Mile Hi. You will see about 10 stores here and 5 restaurants. I love going here. There is also a Mile Hi Inn but we didn't stay there.

This is Mile Hi Diner. We ate 2 times there in our 3 days, 2 nights stay in Baguio. I really like it there because they serve real good food and the ambience is great. The music that they play is good too.

In Baguio there is a place called Session Road. I think it is the busiest road in the whole region. You will find lots of things here including hotels, restaurants, karaoke, inns, malls, bakeries, souvenir shops, bars, clubs and tons of other things. I took a picture of one of the restaurants.

We had our New Year there and our hotel had a little New Year's party. They had a band and this huge clock that was being used as a countdown. When the countdown was over, there was a 20 minute fireworks display. This is my only picture because the camera was running out of space.

On our way home, we passed by Isdaan, a restaurant in Tarlac. Isda means fish in English. That place is huge. It's built on top of water and the floor are like bridges built out of bamboo so there was a lot of bamboo there. A lot of wood too. There were fishes in the water.

The ambience is great too. This is one of the statues you will see.

This is the Tacsiyapo wall. The waiter said tacsiyapo is like an expression of anger. You can buy things there that you can throw to the wall to realease your anger. You can buy a mug, plates, and even a working television! I tried it 2 times. I used mugs and it felt good throwing it and hitting the wall.

It was really hard saying goodbye to Baguio but that's it. I'm still waiting for our next vacation in Boracay this summer. I love vacations. Hope you liked this one! See you!
