My Cat Loves Harsh Light

... and doesn't like showing his beautiful eyes for the camera.. :(

He was laying in the sun when I snapped this photo.

    Ohh, is this with your new gear? This is one of the sharpest shots I've seen from you! And cute kitty. :)

    I like the first, with the color carpet, but you did an excellent job seperating the fur from the carpet in the masking...do you have a secret?naughty.gif

    Yes, it is! It is getting sharper and sharper. That or maybe I am getting a more steady hand.

    For the masking I add a layer, set the blending mode to Saturation and then paint over what I want to desaturate. Near the cat I used a smaller and faded edge brush. This way the image doesn't lose the color info, and I can modify what is desaturated easily.
