Hi All,
I am pretty new to photography but am getting really excited about it quickly. I have been taking shots recently and doing a little bit of Post processing work (mostly levels). I am slowly beginning to advance into playing more with curves, making colors pop, USM...all thanks to the help of the wonderful tutorials on Dgrin. They are great stepping stones. I am finally beginning to understand what a "soft" photo is.
Below are a few shots which are sort of before and after. The before had a little PP work in some levels and cropping. The church scene was taken in 3 shots which I have merged to one (not a true pano, I know...but I like the look and couldn't get this wide of a shot otherwise)

This next one has not had much done to it at all in the first version. The after had level adjustment, some curves

I know I have a long way to go. I get more and more excited everday about editing the photo's I've taken. I have a gallery up now at www.sunshinestatephotography.com which I am planning to revise once I get some more basic skills down. I think the shots are decent but can be much improved with some more PP work. Let me know what you think. Feel free to edit as desired.
Thanks for bearing with me. Enjoy the new year...
