Under the Corral Tree

I pulled into a parking space yesterday morning, greeted by this view through my sunroof.

The early morning light, colors and "composition" struck me as very pretty.

Please tell me if I've done a proper job of capturing the scene. The only post work I did was the slightest of levels adjustment to enhance contrast a bit.

    under the corral tree
The top side of the tree is within the balance of good light, I ponder weather this foto could be improved upon and if so How? you have clear blue sky you subject matter and then the question is should the branches be darker or lighter, I am going to vote for darker since then the attention would be on the flowers of this tree! give a whirl in P/S or wwhat ever type of photo program you use: Just for grins and giggles;)

Angelo, I think it needs more "POP." The reds are sort of dull. Really bright reds against that blue sky would have been better IMHO. Is there any way for you to use PS to up the color saturation and exposure? Otherwise, it is a nice shot.

Good idea Angelo but a tough shot to pull off. The red leaves are backlit so you're gonna have a tough exposure. I think I would have focused in on one set of leaves against the blue sky rather than going gestalt on that shot.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

it doesnt leave me with the same feeling you experienced. I like the image but the factors that led you to react to this scene arent easily transferred to me. what im trying to say is this... there you are in a car, on a glorious day looking through your glass and feeling upbeat - how the image strikes you is so much more than just what you see IMHO.
I am sitting in a noisy room, on a foggy rainy afternoon. I like the image but i dont get the "wow" factor. in any case ive seen many of your posts and wanted to say i like your images and i dont get a chance very often to say thanx for sharing your images with us!
BTW, my daughters and me enjoyed your Mickey Ears Hanukah ornament!

hey, thanks everyone for the input.

additional attempts at PS only worsened the pic.

Harry, just my luck, the next morning I found most of the blossoms washed away by an overnight rainstorm. I'll have to wait 'til next year to try again.

Troy, you're very kind. thanks for the comments. Sorry my Mickey was OOF. I'll try and reshoot him for your girls before packing away the ornaments.

special thanks to the guys who voted for me to dump the Nikon gear. You Canonites are a mean bunch. rolleyes1.gif

Hey, I use canon but didn't vote that way. I think it was a great attempt. Man I bet less than 5% of the shots I take are really worth posting, but I post anyway. mwink.gif
