Eagles in Minnapolis

Well, I got the cheap Tamron 1.4 time converter.
I went out to give it a try on a gray, overcast, 15 degree day.
Look what I found right near downtown Minneapolis.

I noticed (and you will too) that what I normally do in post doesn't work
as well with the converter. The pics don't take sharpening as well.
I'll redo these at some point to see if I can get them a little better,
but for now, they're OK. One more thing, the zooms were all the way
to the end of these pics. (200 or 300 mm)

How much were these cropped Dave? The images fill your frame nicely, but are oversharpened and noisy as you mentioned. I like the one in flight - that is great!

I am impressed with how close you were able to get tho. I never seem to be able to fill the frame with anything less than the equivalent of 500mm ( 300 + 1.4 or so)

They wer only 40 to 50 feet away from me while sitting in the trees.
These are resized, full frame, no processing done.

    Ann, Ridgefan, and Ian.

    Thanks for looking folks.
I had one more pic from that day that I wanted to share.
The eagles were looking at something, and at first I wasn't sure what, I didn't
see anything in the general direction that they were looking at. But then I saw this.

I did say it was cold that day, didn't I.ne_nau.gif

    Davev,

Nice pic of the squirrel, do you think maybe they were spotting him as a possible snack?

I know for a time, both eagles were watching the general area that he was sitting in.
I may be the one that screwed up their meal.
