Help making gallery link for website

I'm sure this must be answered somewhere, but I can't seem to find it - I apologize if this has been answered many times!

I have a personal family blog site that we use to communicate with our family and friends spread out throughout the world. I am wondering how I can make a picture/slideshow link to our Smugmug galleries. I've been using another (gasp) photo hosting for this purpose, but of course would much rather have the link going to Smugmug. I know how to make just a text link, but I'm looking for something that would preferably take our most recent picture(s) and display them, linked to our full galleries.
