Portrait Of A Pelican

My first day outside after being in bed for a full week, I wanted to go shoot a bike ride this morning but I'm still fighting this dang virus off, ended up the ride almost went passed my front door, so I did manage only to get in about 5 shots.

So while I was outside, I figured I'd walk down to the boatramp and see if there was any Pelicans around and there was one sitting on a pylon and he let me get quite close to him.

Harry I was think of you when I saw this fellow sitting and I thought geezz Harry would love this :rofl so here you go mate, a couple of Pelican shots for you .......... enjoy........ Skippy :D

    Nice! The eyes almost do not look real. I love the sharpness!

    great shot Skippy !!!! I wish i had those around here, id make them a favorite.
    refering to the 1st image.. would it benefit from one of david's "pop" treatments?

    Hi Troy, these guys are around all the time, we get more in the summer because of holiday makers around the coast, they know they will get a lot of free feeds, so they hang around the Boat ramps looking for anything your prepared to throw their way :D

    I notice that what I post as a WebShot is nothing on the original, maybe its the way I do it I dunno, but when I open them in my computer, you can clearly see the difference between the one I post for the web and the Original ( Orginal is much nicer )
