Helen (again..:-)
Helen (my youngest) got her hair done today and we decided to celebrate this event with a little family photoshoot.
Two hours, two locations, several wardrobe changes, one sunset and a hundred+ shots later we were done.
After a dinner and a culling we trimmed our plunder down to a couple dozen shots that we both liked the most.
Here are some excerpts.
#1: By the tree
#2: No trespassing!
#3: Thinking in the rye
#4: Cowgirl
#5: Where is the music?
#6: Farm girl
The rest is here:

All pictures taken with Canon 30D + EF 70-200L f/2.8 IS USM, complete with a single SunPack Auto 555EX with a 40" brollybox, on a stand, controlled by a Pocket Wizard.
Enjoy shooting your own teenagers:-)

My congrats! Very good photos and I'm sure your daughter like the results!
Just one point - using of vertical lines in her dress can be good - what do you think?
I like colors, focus and DOF, light, BG.
And, yes, I love your model !!! :-)
Please say 'Priviet' to her!
Yuri
These are great. You daughter is quite lovely. Love the control/use of light and fill. Really like #1 and #4 for that very reason.

Spasibo!
Yeah, I know about the vertical lines... It just happend that we didn't have something like that readily availalble
I'll pass your kind words onto her..:-)
Thank you! This was my first time using the big radio-controlled flash "in the woods" during the sunset, as well as first time when I really put my 70-200 to a portrait work. I know I made a "few" mistakes, but in general I'm rather pleased with the outcome.:-)
Thanks for comments and PM!
Thank you, appreciate your comments!
I'll pass it on:-)
To be heard you must be seen!
Thanks!
Those were taken within 10-15 minutes of the sunset, no wonder the light is the sweetest :-)
Thank you!
Well, I can say she does like a shot or two:-)
Beautiful girl!
Thank you for looking and commenting!
To tell you the truth, the cowgirl pics were taken *with* a certain Texan in mind...
And yes, I know the feeling... My other daughter doesn't like to be photographed, too
I guess I'm lucky to have at least one willing model :ivar

I agree, this happens to be one of the best images lighting-wise:-)
No need to tell me...I know who.
Thanks! I'll pass it on!
You're scaring me:-):D

Thank for stopping by!
I used f/4 for almost all the shots. Since I was shooting at 70mm or more I figured out that would be enough DOF to cover the body "depth" and get a decnt bokeh on the background and the same time.

You know who...
Nice light though!
Thank you for the feedback!
As you may agree (or not:-), the amount of overhead space is a question of artistic preference. My intention was to include the wide open spaces to deliver the message of nature as a background, hence the highest local vista point as a second location.
Cheers!
