Well I'll start off by saying I've been lurking the forums for a while and this is the first time that I've decided to post something.
Primarily I shoot land and cityscapes, but have recently gained interest in portraits. After spending some Christmas money on some umbrellas for my existing lights, I was finally able to test out my whole setup:

Suggestions for when I go try this again next weekend?

I like the "story" you're telling here. Very funny! A very good start with you studio set up!
One suggestion, if I might; you need to either open up your lens a bit more or move further away from your back drop. This will help remove the wrinkles in your backdrop from showing in your image.
