Hangin' with the Cats...

...and I don't mean the kind that purr.

I spent my sunday shooting alongside Jeff, Dallas and, briefly, Joel.
We had a really good time just hangin' out and, as is obvious (hopefully) in this post, capturing some birds. MEAOW!

Hi Russ,

I am not a massive bird fan, but I do like to see birds in flight. The last photo above is great, I love the bird being so close to the water.

Nice shots, Russ! I love that little yellow bird in the first shot. Great captures, all of them. It was really good to meet you. I wish I could have hung out longer, but it's not like I just drove-by though. Jeff and I started at 7:00AM, then Dallas showed up, and we'd shot for 4 hours already when you arrived. So you guys spent the rest of the day there? Man, those guys are crazy! :crazy Carrying around those big tripods and lenses all day is tough work. I love how you guys are always on the move, hunting those critters down.

Great meeting you too Joel. It's usually a chalenge for a working musician to get out of bed before noon I guess I'll have to just drag my bed along next time The things we do to get the shot, you got to love it.

Half of my shots were blocked by this big black lens
