Actually I left the mirror in on purpose. To me part of the subject.

    Anyway thanks for your input.

Really? he has a mirror growing out of his face? lol3.gif

No, seriously, I of course understand the mirror is part of the bike and that is important. However, in chopping off his chin you make his face look very square and, err, well, frankly, fatter. Is that what you wanted?

But since that wasn't your question... your B&W is better. The lighting is flat, so the monochrome conversion adds drama.

And if I use my powers of ESP, i bet you were wearing black slacks that day. :D

The mirror is to much in my face and still does not lead me to thinking about a motorcycle until I mull it over a while. Just what is that "thing' in front of his face.

Shooting more to one side would have avoided this issue. I think I would have tried to include more of the handlebars myselfne_nau.gif Certainly not a member of the ATGATT is he??:D :D

    I prefer the B&W also.

I'd like to see more of his tattoo also.

Ben, I think what everyone really wants is to see the whole hog!!!! (meaning bike, that is...) One thing I like and no one has mentioned is his expression while he appears to be admiring his tough self in the mirror. So, the mirror is an important part of the composition, it's just a little awkward in it's position. :D

The B&W one is better. Sorry but I agree with the others...the mirror is a total distraction.

    I think it's a great shot.

15524779-Ti.gif Sorry- but I too agree about the mirror. It looks as though this guy is also running the window fairing so moving to the right would have brought more of that into view which would also have detractred from the image.

Next time maybe try shooting at 45 degree angle from the rider- this should put the rider to one side of your picture with the handle bars on the other. In this picture the bike looks to be leaning to his left which would have been the ideal side to shoot from, so the bike is leaning towards you.

Or better yet find one without the fairing or a mirror. :D

Of the two I do prefer the b&w.

    Ok I tried.
The mirror sucks on ice! I was moving around trying to get a good angle and zooming as well, when he gave me that look, bang went the MachineGun.
What can I say. I was tryin to convince myself that mirror worked into the shot but hey I still like that look and those are fleeting.

    Yeah Yeah :D
