    wave.gif Welcome to DGrin!!

    Nice first post! thumb.gif

I've never been to Ca, but that Golden Gate shot is classic.

I don't know what the first shot is of, but I love the colors and frothy waters. Is that a fort? Do you have any more close up shots of that? Thanks for posting and again, welcome to DGrin.

Thanks Christina! Actually, that's not a fort in the image - it's what's left of the Sutros Baths. Here's a link to more info. about the baths http://www.cliffhouse.com/history/sutroBaths.htm.

It's a really interesting place to photograph, as Ocean Beach is a huge tourist area. Lots to see and shoot!

Nice shot of the baths and the bridge. Did you take the bridge shot from the gun emplacement on the Marin side? I haven't been there since about 2002 when I hiked Mt. Tam with my son on my back.

Sutro Baths is the subject for some local photo contests I've submitted for and your photo blows away all my Sutro Baths pics!

Appreciate all the kind words. The first and third shots were actually taken from the observation 'deck' at the Cliff House restaurant. I really need to get back there soon, while the surf is so active. I took some shots at Muir Beach yesterday, and the wind was causing some great wave-action! Shame I didn't head farther south and re-shoot these.
