I just finished building the ghetto-fabulous light tent (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=51326) and started playing around with it. As a complete newcomer to this kind of photography, I feel pretty pleased with my work so far, but I also realize that as a newcomer, I have a lot to learn. I may be interested in doing these sorts of shots professionally, but how far am I off the mark?

Thanks in advance for your time.

All look pretty decent...not perect...but close...1st pick disappears into the background...if you have a light that can come from the back side add a touch of color via a gel over the light...ithe cup looks good too me... the 3rd pic has too much shadow for me i would try to bring some light up from the bottom if possible.

let us see a re do soon please.
