A Little Light Casting

You have to love Christmas on the California coast. I spent late Christmas day on the rocks at the marina watching some fishermen. It was so warm (in the 70's) you didn't need a jacket right on the water. It was so peaceful and quiet....I decided fishing is more of a stress releaser than sport! I loved the light on the wire in the first shot.

Yup...your first image is the strongest composition for me. Good eye. thumb.gif

The water is kind of blown out on the left side, tho. If you are using photoshop, you might consider going to curves pulling the white point back to around 245-248, just to give some tone to the extreme highlights.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks, I'll take another look at the image! The first was my fav for the day. In a large view, you can see the wire sharp as a tack right down the pole...I was rather impressed I could still hold my 200 that steady as I hadn't used it for a while! :D
