Signature & Date Question

Ok, I have a stupid question. All the prints I have sold to date have been captured in 2006, and sold in 2006. I have been signing, and dating them, with obviously the date of 2006. Now that it’s 2007, do you use the date of capture, (2006) or the date it was printed, and signed?
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
I just sold three prints today, and need to print, mat, etc.
<o:p></o:p>
Thanks,
<o:p></o:p>
Sam

    Printed and signed...that's JMHO.

    Depends on what you're assigning value to. Is it copyright or date of print creation? (and some would argue date of creation is same as copyright date)

    Personally I would watermark the print with a copyright (in this case 2006) and have no additional date with my signature.

    I sign and put the year of capture.

    If taken in 2004 it gets a ©2004...if taken in 2006 it gets a ©2006
    More of a personal pref in my case.ne_nau.gif

    When I sell a matte and frame pic it gets the full actual date/place when it was taken on the frame backing....just for the clients info.thumb.gif
