Broken Pipe

Why do I get a message saying "Broken Pipe" while uploading photos. It doesn't always happen and doesn't seem to matter if they're small or large files. I like to drag and drop before bed, but don't like waking up to a broken pipe!

    if its any help, I get a 'broken pipe' if im doing uploading or downloading with another application at the same time as Im uploading to smugmug.
    Trapped in my bedroom taking pictures...did i say bedroom? i meant studio!
