It's a nice picture. Good color, exposure, etc. However, I'm trying to decide
what the subject is. Is it the peeps in the forground or the cityscape in
the background? For me, the expanse of the bay almost gives the impression
of two different subjects. My eyes are naturally drawn to the cityscape and
then I noticed the peeps on the shore.
I'd say my comment is a nit. It's a nice photo.

Chaperon, welcome to dgrin! I like the shot very much. Tell me if you hate me doing this, and I'll stop immediately.... but I tend to agree with Ian's comment. So I thought I'd crop (I'm addicted I'm afraid) to make the subject obvious. If you mind, just let me know and I'll never crop another shot of yours!

Gday chaperon...im an amature so i hope you dont mind me playing with the colours to see what i could get with them.
hell....i like everyones photos more than my own.
Well I quite like yours. What folks are missing about yours is the marketability. Plenty of places are looking for shots that are suitable for placing text on and the wide expanse in yours makes it perfect.
In my example below I do just the opposite by lining up the 3 distances.
