East Texas

This photo was taken about noon on 1/16/07 as I was headed back to Alabama. The owners of this shed left no doubt that I was still in Texas and hadn't reached the Louisiana state line yet. It had warmed up a little since I left San Antonio. Exact 3 degrees F and it was now a whopping 31 F and stormy. I made it to Natchez, MS and I am going to drive up the Natchez Trace Parkway in the morning.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Click image for EXIF data. The EXIF says I shot it at almost midnight on the 15th. I think that it is time to correct the time in the camera because it was actually about 12 hours later that I made the capture.

Lovely picture. I love the sky and its contrast to the grass. The barn really stands out and I like its composition to the right. That star looks three dimensional.

The star is 3D. There were quite a few in the area. Someone had made some bucks off them in the area. This place was the most colorful. Thanks for the comments.

Thank you for the comments. This shot was done in the triangle area form by drawing lines between Austin, San Antonio and Houston.

Thanks, George. I'm going to try and get up Townsend way when some good snow falls up there.

It's that white fluffy stuff. Just look out over a cotton field before it's picked and you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about. :D
