Just so you know, snow is rare around our parts, so getting nearly four inches today was a big deal! :D Here are some snapshots of our day...

The benefits of a sloped driveway...

A park we walked to so we could enjoy some larger sledding hills...

My son and my husband, having a near perfect day!

Hope everyone else had a fun day too!

Cute pics, Elaine....I can't tell which "kid" is having more fun!
You sure live in a pretty area, the oak trees are beautiful. We have been cold this week (for California, that is!). Cold enough to freeze over 75 percent of the citrus crops, but no snow for us! Except in the mountains, that is. :D

Thanks! My husband was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, so having snow around definitely brings out the kid in him! :D

We do feel privileged to live in a beautiful area that shows off very different looks for every season.

That's too bad about so many of the citrus crops. It seems most of the nation is experiencing real winter right now.

Thank you very much! I must say that I was proud of myself, because I shot with manual exposure all day, and even used the custom white balance feature on my camera, which was new to me. I only had to brighten the snow a very little bit, but not even on all of them. I felt successful! :D

Nice shots. The snow is beautiful. We don't see much in NC. I know your son was enjoying it immensely if you don't get much.
