Shipping questions

I thought I would bite the bullet and order a couple test prints.

One is 12x18, the other 24x 36.

Question 1) will they both be shipped in a tube?

Question 2) if so - is your shipping price guide out of date?

I show a shipping charge a little higher than what is mentioned in the shipping price guide

EDIT: one photo is a photo of Morraine Lake - the last place printed the water as green when the water is blue - so should I set the option to auto, or true?

EDIT #2: how is it shipped (by who i mean) if I choose the slower route - USPS?

I believe they will both be rolled into one or more tubes. I know Andy has ansered this question at least once before, but I am unable to find the post right now.

    Can't help with that.

If you have edited the pictures on a color-calibrated system and if the images are sRGB, I would order them 'TRUE' rather than "AUTO". The Auto setting tends to, among other things, brighten the image and apply some color correction. If you don't want that and you have confidence in your color, then True is the route for you. It's worked very well for me.

I don't remember the shipping method that was used on my prints - it's been a little while. Sorry.

Hope the above has been some help to you.

    Thanks Scott.

Your answer to wether or not to set colour to auto or true was helpful.

Not sure what happened the last time I had the one image printed but it came out so bad I rolled up the photo into a ball and threw it into the garbage. I couldn't be bothered to waste my time or gas to take it back to the store.

Order sent - can't wait to receive! Espicially the one I had printed really big.

Out of millions of prints, 99.5+++ % that are printed Auto, never get returned. For prints that get returned, they are nearly always because of True Color. It's so hard to beat Auto, it' really is.

Could be, we'll look into it. Both prints will come in a tube.

Wish I read this before I sent in the order :)

If you think I should have ordered as auto - maybe we should change it? (if even possible) Order # 239253

Sometimes, usually not though. Your order has already begun the process and we can't change it now. BUT we GUARANTEE every print, and if you aren't happy I'll do a new one in Auto for you, no questions asked deal.gif

Works for me Andy - if I wasn't getting such a large print, I would have done one of each for comparisons.

You'll be the first to know if I'm happy or not with the results thumb.gif

I chose the slow/cheap option for a pair of 20x30s I did recently, the tube arrived USPS Priority Mail. (and Andy's suggested unrolling method, after 4 days, was finally almost flat enough to mount.... since I was still waiting on my frames, I left 'em in there for over a week before mounting... the extra 4 days didn't change much.)
