sunset

really have not done many sunsets .I am giving a try to the settings on the D70 [i am never sure how this will come out after resize ] but i did not know how to cut down the sun's glow from the right ?did I need to use a filter when taking the shot [remember i am Ps challenged ] JEFF

    J i take a heap of sunrise/set shots & with the little knowledge that i have to comment ..i would say the focus here is out. I personally like the sun to be quite hard in the shot.

    I like the photo and would agree that it looks a bit soft. It seems to me that the break in the clouds and the sun are competing with one another in the photo. I don't know if you have any with the sun below the horizon... If you do it would be neat to see. However, this is my first reply and I am no expert... I am just letting you know what my novice eyes see in this photo.

    Jeff, what shutterspeed was this taken at? did you use a tripod?

    thanks johno ! my idea was to tone down the sun and go with the break [did not like it cropped ]none with the sun down but thank you for commenting and looking. thru your novice eyes and my very novice shooting JEFF
