2 Questions

1. My bro who is in Kuwait via Dubai .Dubai is famous for cheap electronics so I told him to buy a Manfrotto tripod . Well he went to Shop and they told him "All cameras cannot fit on Manfrotto tripod!" Is that true? I don’t think so because I have 25 years old tripod and fixes to all cameras I mounted on it . Sony w1, H5 and canon A300. My tripod also fits to all cams. Manfrotto was about 50$

Well he walked out with some Sony pro tripod 5.5 feet I am happy after all it will be far more better then my current tripod:puke.

2. He will be back after 6 months or 1 year. What can be the cheapest way to ship that tripod and some other things from Kuwait? DHL TCS are very expensive. What is method of online stores who ship from or to abroad?

Thanks In Advance :D

A lot of times when you buy a Manfrotto tripod, they do not have a head included, just the Legs. This might be what the person in the store was reporting. The legs alone usually come with a 3/8" screw (for mounting the head) rather than the 1/4" screw found on most cameras.

As the your second question, sorry, not sure of the best carrier for shipping for you. Here in the states UPS, FEDEX and DHL are common carriers for both domestic and international delivery

I can add very little to what andymillson wrote. Less expensive tripods have their own head...but in my experience, they include a plate to attach to your camera.
