Before and After...

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I wanted to share a "before and after" I did and see if anyone had any feedback on making the "after" even better. (B&W conversions are still kinda troublesome to me. Edit: Meaning...other than making the blacks black and the whites white, I'm not sure what else to do. I don't really understand all the channel mixing stuff. Maybe I just need to experiment some more. I just fiddle until I think it looks OK, and then I see someone else's take and think, "Hmmm...I kinda missed the mark!")

Straight from the camera...just a quick snapshot...

After some work...trying to make it a bit more special...

Thanks!

Elaine, you've done a good job here. Sharp, good crop, great expressions. Well done. All four generations would be proud to have a framed copy.

Elaine I think this turned out very well! It looks like "just a snapshot" in the first image, but you managed to turn it into something special indeed! thumb.gif

Thank you for the nice comments...jfriend, Six Bees, and Stustaff. I really appreciate it.

Stustaff - I debated about the vignette, but that wall was just SO white, I felt it needed to be toned down. :D

Elaine the finished image looks great, everyone has a great smile and they look so happy, it's sharp too.
You did a great job removing the unwanted areas in the background clap.gif
I'm sure they will be very pleased with your finished image ... Skippy
