Hi you'll,

The Roseate Spoonbill is probably the most colorful bird I've shot in the wild so far.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

That black bird actually looks perplexed!
The spoonbill is certainly colorful, but also very funny looking!

And by the way - great pics! The first one is really good.

thumb.gif Harry, I love the choreography of the birds in the second and third shots. I can almost feel the movement. Love your bird work.

Now, how's about some chicks? naughty.gif

It was kind of funny. The heron was alone and I was taking his pic when a flock of spoonbills landed and sort of took over the pond. The heron never knew what hit him.

    Thanks Sid,

Glad you enjoyed them. I try hard to get some action into the shots and try to avoid static shots if I can.

You want chicks? Well all I have handy are some ducklings rolleyes1.gif

What do you mean "tehse aren't half-bad". I never do anything halfway. rolleyes1.gif

Life down here is fine. We do have a BBQ joint on just about every block. My favorite place "Fat Boys" (they named it after me) closed due to hurricane damage. They used to serve "all you can eat" ribs. I was going to take you there and record the event. :roll It would have been a classic moment.

Laughing.gif Harry. Good thing Fat Boys closed before Andy came down and did some major damage of his own rolleyes1.gif You could have recorded "Andy putting Fat Boys out of business". Yeah, and like I have room to talk mwink.gif

The spoonies are great Harry. Man they are beautiful (from the neck down). They definitely have faces that only a Mama spoonie could love. The heron is probably shocked that something so beautiful, could be so ugly....lol It isn't fair, you get all the good looking birds down there headscratch.gif After I win the lottery, I'm moving to Fla. Or, maybe Montana. Or, even Hawaii.....lol

Thanks for sharing these and don't let that young pup get off with calling you an O.F.......lol

I never worry about what Andy says. The only time one should worry about Andy is when you are standing between him and a plate of ribs. rolleyes1.gif

Its great to be back shooting and posting. Thank's for the kind words.

The idea of Andy having access to "all you can eat ribs" is kind of scary. :yikes
The rstaurant would be bankrupt and Andy would need a newer and larger wardrobe.

As for his "o.f" comment, no big deal. I lived in NYC for 57 years where "f" is the most common verb, noun, adjective and adverb. Just rolls off my back. If he really bugs me I'll just tell his wife how much all his camera equipment really cost. :grim

Florida is nice to be supplying me with all these birds. Keeps me busy and off the streets.
