Photonic camera better than a one-pixel camera

The news the other day with a single-pixel camera in development was interesting. Now this. A photon -- just one -- can store an entire image. Photonic memory. I like the sound of that.

A quote from the article:
"It's analogous to the difference between snapping a picture with a single pixel and doing it with a camera—this is like a 6-megapixel camera."

A future conversation between two photogs...

Ron: "Hey Bill, I see you upgraded to a new memory molecule!"

Bill: "Yes I did. There was a sale at B&H on those new dual molecule thingies, and I thought, what the heck, you only live once."

Ron: "I'd kill for some extra storage right now. Can I borrow a MP (MegaPhoton) or two?"

Bill: "Sure, laser up to my cam, It'll only take a nanosecond or two."

Ron: "That'll shed more light on my photography. Thanks, Bill!"

(they both laugh, and drink more beer, and shoot more photos)
