The snow/ice is melting around the gravel on my path around the house. I thought it made for a nice shot.

    Fantastic subject, I can look at this type of image for ages.

    I think this is the type of image one should use the best camera and best lens so the detail and contrast comes through.

    Medium Format comes to mind as there is so much detail in the image.

    The top left is not sharp and the bottom as well.

    What f stop did you use as I would make is as small as possible. Try a number of images at different exposures to get the edges sharp.

    Also try under exposing 1/2 or 1 f stops as well to get more contrast, this type of image is needs to be darker.

    Just a suggestion, I like it alot, but you can make it better.

    Thanks :) I used a Nikon D200 and Tamron 28-75 lens. This was f/5.6 and handheld. More of a snapshot than anything else. I suppose if I got the tripod out I could make it much sharper!
