another B&W try
I posted this about 5 months ago in color...here it is as a conversion. (My 5 year old son.) I think if I had used a touch of flash, his under-eye area would have turned out better (I'm learning), but as a conversion, I would appreciate any C&C! Thanks!

I used one of the greatest secrets for photographers that few know about and it can be found in a book from Katrin Eismann. It is an easy technique that creates a fill flash on any image.
you can find the book here: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=stripbooks&field-keywords=katrin%20eismann&results-process=default&dispatch=search/ref=pd_sl_aw_tops-1_stripbooks_4275342_2&results-process=default?tag2=amd-google-20
next, I did something called painting with light. I can't remember where I got it from bu tyou can probably google it.
Hope this helps,

The paiting with light action can be found here http://www.atncentral.com/
I use it every once in a while, it is very helpful, and I think the effects are more believeably acheived in BW images.
The site looks to be down at the moment but I'm sure it'll be resolved shortly.
