I have some sports shots taken at the local highschool last night for the basketball team. Word got to the annual staff and now they want to buy prints for the annual. Over 50 to be exact. Now I'm confused on how to price these. How do I price them where I make my profit and they dont' take them and make 100's of prints of them? Anyone have suggestions on prices for Digital downloads? Commercial vs. Personal?

Thanks

Kevin

You should ask them how many prints they plan to use them for. If its gonna be a lot, do some estimating and go from there. But when I sell my files, i usualy charge what i would charge for aobut 3-4 8x12's, for the large size. But if they are gonna buy 50 like you said, at 20 bucks a pop that's $1000, and i dont know if they could pay much more than that. But see. Maybe you can get them to print through your site at a slightly discounted price. Or they could direct everyone to your site to buy them.
