Has anyone used http://www.camerarmor.com on a 30D with the battery grip?

I like the look of this product but I love my battery grip. This would be great for my motorcycle trips, to prevent LCD damage and dents / dings.

Thanks,

Doug

A guy on ADVRider just bought a 30D with armor. Not sure if he's taken delivery yet. First time I'd seen the stuff. I'm curious.

Seems that it will work with the battery grip.

I think it might provide some protection. My biggest concern far and away would be getting dust/dirt/sand between the LCD cover and the LCD. It wouldn't take much to scratch it up and you would never know it until you removed the armor. One grain could raise hell in between those two surfaces. YMMV

It's a good idea but that material looks like it would be very annoying to hold. I could see how it would be nice if you were always places where your camera would get bumped a lot.

I have something similar on my ipod. Not sure how I'd like it on my
    camera though...

This would be my biggest concern, too

It's like those "car bras". Unless you remove it frequently and clean them up, you'll end up with much more damage from the dust being constatly rubbing againt the paint under the "protective cover" than just by the usual road hazards that would come and go.

    FWIW...
