Oh no, I'm completely out of ideas

Hi!

I need a little help here! It looks like I'm completely out of photography ideas right now, and this is frustrating and has to stop.

All of "my" usual femals models are like this : :boid when I want to pull them in front of the camera these times. I don't know, it still must have to do with Christmas and all those cookies.... :scratch
My cat also is remarkably uncooperative, even for a feline. He only gives me a look that says, "hey, point that camera at me and bleed!".

I don't want to do street photography because it is so cold and stormy, and the weather is simply gruesome. Gray, no snow, everything looking quite miserable.

I'm so out of ideas that I even did this, though I hate to admit it was me:

So, can anyone of you help me out? Inspire me, give me a fresh idea, and help me out of this photo-blues?

I certainly would be very gratefull! :D

Kind Regards,
Andreas

Beat the winter blues by shooting at night. Yeah it's cold, but the light is always good.

get some nice cakes, with fruits on top, and shoot them before eating them.
Or cook a nice roast, shoot it before you eat it.

Try to shoot your cat when she is yawning, should add to the stress of getting it right!

Try some shadow shots of things that you put on your window sill, (maybe your cat???) and see how it works. Can you get a halo around it?

Maybe a try with the cat trying to kill the roast once more???

The mall: carts, people, reflections, motorized stairs (don't know how you call those in english) and you are inside!

I know, my suggestions are pretty lame...

Seems to be a lot of this going around...........I think it's called "January". Fear not, January is on the way out and February is a short month....that brings us almost through winter!!! Maybe it's a time to try something entirely new you've never done before? Try some macro, if you haven't...doesn't have to be bugs (aren't many around right now) it's also a great "indoor" style of photography. Pick a color and use that as your "theme" to get started. Say, all things "red". Valentine's day is next month...you could start early...perhaps a heart-inspired photo for a gift? Here's a simple and thoughtful idea. Sometimes we are so busy trying to fill our own wants we overlook others. Think of someone you love/admire/care for that you have not been in touch with for a while. Hunt down something to shoot that you know will please them. And then mail a print. Or email them a file (cheaper!). Think how that would make your day if someone did that for you. Good luck!

    Thank you! :)

It's always good to know that I'm not the only one...
And do you know what? Since my last post it has started to snow, and now we have aroud 10cm of fresh snow - the first one in this winter!
(Normally, we have half a meter in November...)
I hope with the snow come new photo opportunities.

Saurora, thank you for the nice words, and your idea about making a photo-gift for someone else is really really good! :) Why haven't I thought about that??

Photocat, I really like your idea with the cakes, but it will be really hard not to eat them before the shooting. :)
