Assignment #23: Leaves

Our glass subject turned out to be a pretty difficult one, not many people dared to take upon it. :dunno
So let's drop it a notch and shoot some less transparent objects: leaves.
The leaves (or a bunch of pine needles) should be the primary subject of the picture.
A single leaf is preferable, but several OK too, as long as you can differentiate them clearly.
Remember, we're not talking about the foliage - we're shooting individual leaves! :deal
As always: fresh pictures, moderate post-processing.
For the rest of the basic rules and index please check out this sticky.
Let's leaf it up! :-) :wink

I went out in frost and cold to snap leaves, but the challenge comes 3 weeks to late...

Pine needles? Bushes? There must be some leaf-like things around, no?
Nice one, too bad it's not fresh... :cry
Any chance of getting out and reshoot?
nope, the frost is long gone, and I doubt that we will get more frost. If so, I could go back and reshoot. I know where they are... grin

Welcome to Dgrin and welcome to the Class!
You've chosen a right place for your first post:-)!
Thank you very much for your entries!
In fact the second one would be superb - provided there was no distracting, oof and rather bright stem just in front of the camera...
We got a little bit last weekend- these were taken a few days early but here you go.
Are these leaves though?
Oh yeah- the fire in my previous post was created by me- no blower and too lazy to pick the leaves out of the rocks. Just burn em.

I'd say they are leaves alright - at least for our particular purposes
Thanks for the entries!

Thank you very much, great entry!
Well here in cold and white Canada there are no leaves worth shooting so went into my bush and found a little greenery.

Welcome to the Class!
Thanks for the entry! As we agreed, those things do qualify as the "leaves"

I really like this photograph... It is just that, a little greenery. Love the background, the green really pops on it.
Great job! Keep shooting
