Hi you'll,

Since I moved to Florida in July I've found this one spot that's only a 15 minute drive from my house, the Viera Wetlands. You would never find it unless you knew about it (my good friend Trish told me). To get there you have to drive to this water treatment plant and there's a sign at the front of the place with arrows that says "sewage, Septage" with an arrow pointing left for sewage and an arrow pointing right for septage. Well you turn right and follow the road ends up in the wetlands.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

That is what I am missing! Septage and Sewage! Well, I will be..........

Great focusing, as usual. It is cold and grey here, don't know that I will go out, obviously did not go early. When I do go out will look for sewage.......and it makes sense, too. Birds can't read, they just want something to eat.

You have to be careful about publisizing it here ... pretty soon you're gonna have a bunch of greeen-haired Smugmug T-shirt wearers frigthening the birds there :lol

I usually leave with wet feet and sand all over the inside of the car. My wife insists that I stop and vacuum out the car before I get home now. I have found a few gators during my stops there but they all have been pussycats so far. :D

I'm just very lucky John. I moved from NYC to bird central. Both places supplied me with a wealth of photo ops.

Boy do I look like a doofus in that shot. rolleyes1.gif Florida has great birds but lousy pastrami. If and when you ever get down here bring down a few pounds of pastrami with you.
