Never hurts to ask a seller if he will take payments. They keep the goods until you pay. I've done this on a couple things and it's always worked well.
Never hurts to ask. Some are ok with it, some politely refuse and some are just plain rude about it.

$1350, what a great price. I'm suprised no one has picked it up. Do you have the tripod mount for it? Heck at that price, I might pick up another one for my sister.

let me appologize to all the good people who replied to this offer. I was intent on selling this lens to gather funds to purchase a 1d mkIIn. My son was involved in a car accident - no one hurt...... but the car was totaled. ;(
Ive been waiting to hear from the insurance company as to what they plan to do. My wife also totaled her car about three weeks ago. At this time if I was to sell the lens, I still couldnt buy the 1d mkIIn. It seems my plans to buy a new camera are on hold .......
I had to wait till today to speak to an insurance agent to find out if the car was salvageable, but it isnt. This is why i have not responded till now. Of course I am relieved and I thank God noone was hurt.

I would ask the moderator to delete this thread but then noone would know what happend and think i sold out to another person... which i havent and would never do!
maybe they can mark the thread - Suspended?

Good, now we can start saving up for when you are ready to sell! I will start counting my pennies as soon as I get home.

    Wow, it's chilly in here.

The guy just had two cars totaled in his family in a month. Fortunately everyone in his family is OK.

Best of luck to you Troy. I hope things work out and you also get your camera soon too.

I had no intention of being chilly. Very good point, I apologize. I guess my L fever got the best of me there. Troy, I sincerely hope for the best in your family. My bad.

    hey Jim,
i actually enjoyed your response! no bad feelings here!
and thanx for your concern. I really didnt want to get into specifics on here coz noone would believe me but here is the real scoop ( 100% truth )
my wife got in a accident. the car my wife was driving was totaled in the sense that the cost to fix the car was more then the worth of the car if that makes any sense. They totally rebuilt the car - why i have no idea. Anyway when they were done it looked like a BRAND NEW CAR. My wife drove the car home from the collision place. The next morning My son TOTALLED THE SAME CAR!!! This time the insurance company said - TAKE THE CHECK! problem is it doesnt cover whats still owed on the car.

What are the odds? Glad everyone was okay. That really sucks that the check doesn't even cover what is owed on the car.
