Nothing special, just some tripod work.

WOW! The colors are GREAT clap.gif !

Did you adjust it much in PS or PSP?

#2 is my fav -- it's like you have two polar opposite tertiary colors working there; Superb.

    EDIT: Oops, wrong topic :)

In regards to this one, the ship is beautiful. The second one is also very nice.

    Wow! is right.

The QE II is making it's first port call next week in San Francisco. Trying to
decide whether it will be worth making the trip up the Peninsula for this
event. It'd be a real treat to see her sail under the Golden Gate.

Thanks, I used Adobe's LightRoom. DPP is my default processor since I have a Canon, but with tough lighting or colors, I prefer to use RawShooter Premium or a LightRoom.

Hey thanks, I underexposed the first shot and corrected it on a computer, so there is a lot of noise, ok for web, but not good enough for prints.

Oh well, goes to show, you need to look at the histogram...
I was too lazy to reshoot it since the shot didn't seem that interesting to me.

Good views there of the Grand Old Lady of the sea. First posted pic is my favorite.

A little critique if you don't mind... While I don't mind the blue hue of the lighting, I do think the reflection on the metal railing in the foreground is very distracting and competes with the subject. Anything you do to minimize that would be a big plus, except for cropping since the foreground plants work nice to give the depth of the shot. Oh, and nice to see the small aperture star effect on the highlights. That also makes this a great pic. thumb.gif

I fixed the blue color cast in the shot with RawShooter Premium and since it has better noise reduction than LR, fixed the noise as well.

Updated the second shot as well.
Selected the sky to make it less brown and more contrasty.
