Birds of Prey
I thought I would share some pictures I took at a Natures Nursery photo shoot yesterday.
Natures Nursery in a wildlife rehab facility that specializes in Birds of Prey. They are a wonderful non-profit organization.

This Red Tailed Hawk is not one of their regular program birds. Their regular red tail had an issue whith his tether so this fellow "Kamakazi" (named for his tendency to dive bomb the handlers when they entered his cage) stood in his place. He was hillarious. He would not stand up, and just laid on the ground.
This fine fellow is "Icarus" He is a great horned owl. I have had the opportunity to photograph Icarus several times. It is always a treat.
"Tyto" is a beautiful Barn owl. This bird was born in captivity and has never lived in the wild. Because of this he has no injuries, and is used to people.
He often poses for the photographers. It's almost like he knows what is going on.
Last but not least is "Inyo". He is a Harris Hawk, native to the US southwest. He was raised by a "falconer" which is legal I'm told. He was given to the rehab center for some reason.
The rest of the images can be found HERE
If you ever have the chance to go to a rehab facility and photograph the animals, take it. Also if you love birds, places like this rely on donations to exist. They re-introduce hundreds of birds into the wild. and all bird lovers owe them a thanks.
Thanks for looking
Brian

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
They can use however some coloradjustment to give them some "pep".
Allow me to give you THIS sample.
Thanks for sharing.
