Costa Rica Part 3 - Santa Teresa
We took a taxi to Santa Teresa which was air conditioned and it only took an hour or two. We got a nice room right on the beach and at only $24 per night. We decided to do something we both had never done, surf. Renting a board only put us back $10 for 24 hours.
The large Playa Santa Teresa. Dogs were all over the place but generally friendly.
The rest of this large beach.
The beach at sunset. There were still lots of surfers out.
These pelicans were awesome to see. They were very large and would fly up and dive into the water to fill their beaks.
Took this from our room balcony. This large iguana is eating flowers at the top of this tree perched from a small branch.
Heres another one. They were pretty large and running all around.
Sarah trying surfing for her first time.
Now shes getting it!
Not the only ones riding the waves. Sarah goes back out for another try.
Nearing the end of our surfing excursion.
After a few great days at Santa Teresa we took a bus back to the ferry. Our bus driver drove around 1/4 of a mile in the wrong lane of traffic because ours was so backed up.
There was some good wildlife to see during the ferry ride. The birds above followed us the whole way as people hand fed them.
These pelicans glided beside us as they went about their business.
