Today, I took a drive to Santa Cruz, California. While the surf was
pumping, the light was not. So, I took a walk along West Cliff Drive
to see if there was anything else to see.

I found a beautiful work of art in the sand. A powerful message
indeed.

Now that's just neat. Good thing you had your camera with you.

Prolly a good thing I took a short lens or the old sneaker zoom would never
have worked with the 500 :D

That's awesome! Was the person in the image aware of you, or did you just capture her unbeknownst to her? It almost appears as if she is gesturing her approval. Great image. Super message. thumb.gif

that's really cool. I like how the person at the top left puts the size of the sand image in perspective!

    Thanks for the comments!

The person is probably a 12ish year old girl. When she saw I was shooting,
she raised her hand and waved.

    Wow
Ian, what a wonderful find! I can't believe the detail in that sand art. It must have taken some time to do that also. I'm glad you were able to photograph and post it.

    Thanks again!

Just to be clear, I'm just the photographer. Someone unknown to me
    created the artwork.

Very cool, Ian! Is it bad that I'm jealous of people that talented? rolleyes1.gif

Really nice picture and great artwork by the unknown artist, I agree that the girl waving is the icing on the cake. thumb.gif

That is very cool. Both the art and the pic. The little girl just adds that extra bit to the pic.

Dang, that's big. The child gives it a sense of scale. Very nice find, Ian.
