Help me decide 300F4 IS or 100-400IS?post pics

OK , I got the new 30D ( I have the 70-200 2.8 ) and need a longer lens with IS . I know I saw some great examples of the 100-400 IS lens. Andys friend with the planes were awesome as well as many in the wildlife forum. I do mainly horse sports, so im wondering How much sharper and consitent to 300 f4 IS is. since its a prime . I am pretty much a zoom girl, but I know my 80-400 on my nikon leaves a bit to be desired in the not so perfect light, so dont want to worry about that with the 100-400 ?? Sharpness , clarity and Bokeh are my concerns. anyone use the 300 f4 IS ? . please post some examples of both and give me the pros and cons, ( ive been telling myself most of them ) but maybe with all of it right in front of me ill be able to decide.
