I got to escape to the Oregon coast this weekend with a couple friends (all moms taking a break from our families ). We had spectacular weather...I mean really gorgeous non-winter-like weather! :barb I took a gazillion photos and ended up with just a few that I liked...wish there had been more. I shot manual exposure the whole time, so I'm trying to learn something with all that clicking! Anyway...here are a few of them...
Morning light...
We stayed in the building on the far right...
Elephant (?) drift wood...
Waves...
Crash...
Sunset...
Yaquina Head Lighthouse...

Lincoln City has a population of about 7,500 and 7 1/2 miles of great, sandy beaches. There is also a casino and some great outlet malls, so it's a very popular place and probably would look quite different now than it did a number of years ago. However, it could still be considered a small surf town with die-hard surfers! Oregonians don't let a little fog and rain stop them! This weekend was gorgeous, with barely a cloud in the sky, hardly any wind and temps around 55, but I wouldn't say that is "normal" for January! Weather on the Oregon coast can be unpredictable all year 'round, but August high temps average about 72.

Oregon coast weather can be unpredictable for sure, with bright, clear and rather warm days in winter and spring and dreary, gray days in summer. But it is a beautiful place, no matter the season.
Thanks for the look and comment!
