Gatorland - Orlando FL
Saturday morning my best friend and I met up with Robin over at Gatorland down near Orlando, FL. We had an awesome time walking around the park, perfect weather, and saw a couple cool events!
Rebel XTi, 70-200/2.8L+kenko 1.4x FTW!!

We caught the end of the first show of the day. Some crazy guy wrestling gators and putting his chin near the jaws of death. I dont know how safe this is... the guy does it at least three times a day though. I'm sure these show gators are WELL fed. Last place you want your face is on a hungry gators head!
They have a real nice park there with mile or two of trails/exhibits. There are A LOT of gators there (duh), and the park is full of wild birds and plant life
Then they have the gators! The ones they use in shows are babies. The big guys...well... ARE HUGE! They have an assortment of crocs and gators all the way from little mini gators to MONSTER Nile crocs.
The Jumparoo was kind of a let down. It was a bit on the cold side that day so I think the crocs were more interested in catching some sun. We did get one to come over and grab some chicken, but i'm sure they have shows that are a lot more lively.
The last event they have is called "Close Encounters". They basically have a couple boxes they open and put the critters in the hands of a few in the audience. Robin and I were making some rukus so we got selected as the people. Robin, thankfully for me, got the tarantula! HAHA! I hate spiders as well, so I was very happy to get the albino burmese python.
They also had a couple cool big birds. They were all clipped and hanging out on perches near the front of the park.
If you go, skip the train ride. You see everything on the trails... so taking the train is nothing more than a 15 minute break while some dude tells a boring story.
