i travel quite a bit and enjoy taking photos like the rest of you. i recently decided to upgrade from a point and shoot to a digital slr (canon rebel XTI). i used to get a few good photos with my point and shoot but now it seems i can´t get one good photo with my new slr. i am in south america where i can´t find any books on digital photography and i was wondering if anyone knew of a site on the internet where i could get a basic overview of how to use the camera and pointers on how to get take photos.

muchisimas gracias :huh

Check out the Canon Digital Learning Center:

    http://www.photoworkshop.com/canon/index.html

There you can click on the XT tutorials, the XTi demo, etc. to get lots of tips. Also, you should be able to download the camera's user manual from the Canon website.
