Heard the voice of one of our own in a MotoGP-centric podcast today. http://www.motogpod.com/ interviewed Andrew Wheeler (Maczippy) of http://automotophoto.com to get some insight as to what the life of a freelance motorcycle roadracing photographer is like. The interview appears in the December 25th, 2006 edition of the show, and occupies most of the third quarter of the hour long show. Its a good listen, especially if you're a fan of the race series.

He's been a busy boy. Road Racer X's photo annual has a few shots from
    him as well.

    Good show. thumb.gif

Andrew, I don't suppose you'd want to share any of your pics from that fateful AMA test at Laguna? :D

I'll have to have a listen. I think Mr. Wheeler is the best out there.

Aside from his photographic excellence, his philosophy and sound business practices are very good for the profession.

    Way to go, Andrew. thumb.gif

Shaun, Ian and others, thank you for the kind words all!

It has been a whirlwind experience so far. I finished the year with my latest book, my 2006 Review. Have been picked up by a number of advertisers (SUOMY for one - Yamaha was another) and this year is even bigger than last year. Along with covering the entire AMA series (and 3 or 4 MotoGP's worldwide) I'm also the official track photographer at...

Harvey I'll see what I can do ;)

What did you think of the accent eh?
