External flash fun ;)
I just got my first SB-24 Unit which marks the
beginning of my tries in flash photography.
I had alot of fun playing with my new toy in
a bar last night. After my first non-intentional
blinding attempt (at 1/4th power) everyone
seemed conviced of its powers. It made me
wonder how useful it could be at 1/1 power
for self defense purposes.
Anyway, later that night I played around with
it. Here are a couple of shots of a statue. I
had my camera setup with a timer release
(TC80-N3) so I could photograph myself.
Exposure was 2 secs so I had time to fire
the flash in my hand at 1/4th power.
After my first tries, all I can say is that it's great
fun! I've ordered my 2nd SB-24 and two stands today
and I am already waiting for a cheapo radio trigger from china.
Btw. does anyone know where I can get Rosco
color correction filters in europe?
Next I want to try that thing where one sets up a multiminnute
exposure at night on a house or vehicle and then walk around and
fire the flash at where I want some extra effect light, like from
inside the car ... that should be awesome too.
