Yep. It's got nothing to do with still photography, but we can all enjoy some great cinematography! :D

I need to fuel my DVD queue for my morning workouts on my elliptical trainer.

Got any recommendations?

All kinds. But what I want to know is what kind of movies you like. You know, try something new (or old, in your case!)

Harry, I'm running on my elliptical trainer for 45 minutes every morning, so I go through a movie every other day. I'm willing to spread wide and try anything...

    Le Mans
    Grand Prix
The French Connection (the first one, not the second...never the second one)
    2001: A Space Odessy
    Apocalypse Now
    Dr. Strangelove
    Bullitt
    Ronin

I second the recommendation for Blade Runner

In my queue but films that I haven't seen include Hotel Rwanda, Soylent Green, Network.

I would say Mad Max, The Road Warrior, and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome but they don't have the The Road Warrior (I guess maybe it's not on DVD for some reason?), and there's no point in watching two without that one.

    To Kill a Mockingbird
    Network
    West Side Story
    Shakespeare in Love
    The Wild Bunch
    Pulp Fiction

A few movies with a photography theme:

    Proof
Not the newer one, but the 1991 film with Hugo Weaving as a blind photographer (!) and a very young Russell Crowe.
    Amazing film.

    High Art
    Fashion photographer burnout.

    Rear Window
Jimmy Stewart, a telephoto lens, and Grace Kelly, by Hitchcock.
    Classic.

    A must see...
If you like nature documentaries Winged Migration cannot be missed. It has some of the best cinematography I have ever seen. On top of the movie the making of it is just as brilliant. But don't watch the making first.

A lot of really great advice.

I'll add a couple I've watched recently. Both are "surf" movies and fun to
watch. Heck, I'll make it three.

In God's Hands, Step Into Liquid and Riding Giants.

Riding Giants focuses on the recent "big wave" phenominum. Think
Maverick's. In God's Hands is pretty much about a group of surfers
and their adventures in the world of surfing. Step Into Liquid is a
narrated feature with several well known surfers--it's got a great
    sound track too.

These are my two favorite movies.....

Hah, a gearhead! Great recommendations. For a quickie, if they have it Rendezvous (amazing 9 minutes of a Ferrari getting wrung out in Paris).

BTW, Road Warrior is (or at least was) on DVD--I have it in my collection.
