Hope it's ok to post this here?
I'm offering up this "Old Shack" I got pics of yesterday for a project.
Dunno why but something about it looked photgraphically apealing!
3 diiff angles top choose from.
Crop it....lighten it....do WHATEVER YOU WANT with it in PHOTOSHOP/CS and explain how you did it.
Here is a chance to learn a few things from each other and have some fun.
JUST FOR FUN AND LEARNING....NOT A CHALLANGE!!!
3 diiff prospectives to choose from.
Go to my link click on photo you want and "Get original Uploaded Photo" and save it to your drive.
FULL 8mp JPG files about 1.92mb each.

People can do as many as they want in anyway they want!
Long as it's explained how it was done.
Interesting to see peoples diff perspectives of the subject.

Layer > Brightness > 22%
Image > Channel Mixer > Red > 100%
Image > Channel Mixer > Green > -22%
Image > Channel Mixer > Blue > 22%
Filter > Texture > Grain

Great stuff so far Guys!
How about some things with color?

my changes:
I did 3 adjustment layers first, auto levels, hue/saturation (turned blue up and red up quite a bit), and brightness contrast (about +35 brightness, -15 contrast).
Then I applied a mask to the door, and added a grain filter (vertical) followed by a desaturation. I created a layer that just had this desaturated, grainier door, and then blended it in with about 50% opacity.
Then I flattened the image, and used the "variations" to make it a little "more red".
Mostly I was just fiddling with knobs and faders until I thought it looked cool.
Come on Guys don't be shy!
Lets keep em coming!

I kinda liked it the way it was.
Cropped to 8x10
Ran slight curve to bring out more blue in the sky...color in BG trees and kill the HUE of the snow/sky.
Layer>New Image Layer>Curves
This probably the way I'll leave it to frame and sell.
Dunno what it was that caught my eye other than it's rusticness.
ORIGINAL to compair

Ok here is another I just did with selctive color! (PhotoShop CS)
Stripped color outta whole pic. Colored in the door and all the windows.
MANY have asked how this is done!
Layer>New Layer Adjustment>Hue Saturation
Popup window hit OK
Then take middle (Saturation)slidder all the way to the left.
Thus total B&W pic
Play with bottom slidder (Bightness) to make darker or lighter if ya want.
Click ok
Then go to Paintbrush in Tool Pallet...and re enter kidnergarden all over again!
Trace an outline of the area you want then increase brush size (Circle) to cover inside of trace faster.
When your done go to Layer>Merge Visable Layers and then save image!
THANX Tim Kirkwood for teaching me this!!!

Lots and lots of steps here, borrowed graffiti from web (with apologies). If you really want to know I can send the PSD file (640x480) layered with masks etc.

asked me to do something with this image...... the only thing I kept thinking was what needs to be done is it needs to be torn down.
So since everyone has kinda done what most of us would do with this shot. Spedia, B&W, and Dees creativeness was unexpected and impressed I was.
So I took five mins and I was the big bad wolf that blew it down...
Here is what I came up with....not the best but something.
Speak with sweet words, for you never know when you may have to eat them....
Went to a diff window for a few min and someone tore the shack down!!!
Good one Tim

I cropped this. Took the yellow color out of it and curved it.

Going along with Tim's Ghost idea...
Here's what I did:
Image>adjustments>Channel Mixer
select monochrome
output:-black
red:0
green:+160
blue:-70
Then I imported my ghost.
After she was sized, positioned and blended, then I changed her opacity to 70%.
Finally, From channels, select Green
filter>blur>Gaussian Blur at 2 pixels
Hope you like it...

These are all GREAT!!
Hafta give a big to Dee and Tim Kirkwood!!
Both took a great deal of thought and effort.
Don't stop.....I'm sure you Guys/Gals and others have other idea's.
Do as many as you want (Long as it's Photoshop) got 3 angles to play with.

Was a lotta fun and glad you Guys/Gals had fun with it!
Was hopping to see a few more ideas but the ones that were submitted are great! Plenty of educational ideas.
Guess it was a lil hard to top Dee and Tim's!
I'll watch for some other subjects in the future and we can do this again!

I had a lot of fun, had to think about what would be unexpected...
I like Tim's ghostly version too, very sophisticated.
I was so tempted to put a wreath on the door but I didn't have any handy.

I'd love to see somthing like this on a regular/semi-regular basis. Maybe others can submit photos to play with too...?
